Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
LIHEAP is a funding grant to provide fuel to low income and elderly during the winter months. Community Software Group works closely with LIHEAP agencies to fulfill the specification in documenting Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) allocations with LIHEAP & Energy Conservation. Our software includes an extensive array of reporting, querying and notification features and works seamlessly with Octopia™ software for agency-wide unduplicated client reporting. Our client and family information screens are intelligible and designed for ease of use; they provide a workflow that makes sense and allows staff to perform quicker intakes. Print notices to clients and vendors to communicate eligibility, missing information, benefit level, remaining benefits and much more. LIHEAP can store consumption data to analyze in upcoming fiscal years. Application response forms can be scanned to save even more time by simply scanning the form that has been returned without the need to manually enter the information. More capabilities include tracking vouchers, running checks, printing mailing labels, and even an integrated appointment manager.
Liheap also works with our Interactive Voice Retrieval (IVR) system. The IVR is an automated response system that answers up to four simultaneous phone calls from LIHEAP clients and provides information specific to the client or vendor that is calling. Why hire extra staff when the IVR can reduce call volume by almost 99% during the winter months. Clients have the ability to check status, remaining benefits, or get eligibility information if they are not yet an active client.
